Kyle & Kaden's Christmas Pictures

Since the Christmas cards have all been delivered by now (hopefully), I thought it was time to share our Christmas pictures. We had them taken at St. Andrews United Methodist Church by Chera (a very talented photographer from my "mommy board"). Here are a few of my favorites:

Kaden is 18 months old!!!

Kaden had his 18 month check up today. Here are his stats:

Height: 36 inches (+95th percentile)

Weight: 31 lb. 11 oz. (95th percentile)

Head: 18 3/4 in. (50th percentile)

He has the height of a 2 1/2 year old. The doctor told Kyle to be nice to his little brother because he was going to be bigger than him some day. Kaden had a great check up and got 2 shots that he was not too thrilled about.

In other Kaden news, he is finally WALKING!! He has been taking steps for a while now but he is finally confident enough to walk more than he crawls.

Here is a little video of him in action. This was taken when he first started walking well. I was so excited that I did not even notice I was holding the camera the wrong way so the video is side ways.

Halloween!

This year for Halloween Kyle wanted to be a race car driver. He called himself "Lightening Kyle McQueen". Kaden was a monkey.

This is Kyle's preschool class all dressed up for Halloween.

They had several games set up for the kids to play. Kyle was really good at the bean bag toss.

The high school students set up up a face painting center. Kyle wanted a football. He was very proud up of it but quickly smeared it across his cheek.

After Kyle's school party was over it was time to trick or treat. This is the kids on the way to the "good candy neighborhood". Most of our neighbors turn their lights off on Halloween so we usually go to a different neighborhood to trick or treat.

This is the pumpkin that Kyle requested. He wanted a "scary face" pumpkin.

Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch

We went to the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch yesterday. The kids were pretty grumpy so the pictures did not turn out as great as I was hoping for. I told Kyle that we were going there to pick out some pumpkins. As soon as he picked out his pumpkin, he was ready to leave. I guess he did not realize that he was going to take a million pictures so he was not thrilled. Kaden was mad because I decided to finally take him off his bottle cold turkey a couple of days ago. Needless to say it did not take much to make him upset. The good news is, today he seems to have given in to the fact that his bottle is gone and is finally drinking from his sippy!

Homecoming Parade

Kyle's preschool class was in the Homecoming Parade on Wednesday. This was the first time he has participated in a parade and he loved it.

Kyle in his new gigantic footsie pajamas. I did not realize they came in his size. They go all the way up to size 12. I could dress him in footsie pajamas until he is 10. :)

Kyle's 1st Field Trip

Kyle had his first field trip to the fire station with his preschool class. I took several pictures but most of them did not turn out well. Here are a couple that I thought were cute.

Kyle's 1st Day of Preschool

Kyle finally started preschool yesterday. He has been excited about it since we registered him way back in February. The first day went great. It sounds like there was one little incident involving a carrot and another little boy in the kitchen center. It must not have been too bad because his teacher did not mention it to me.
