Catchin' Up

It has been a while since I have posted so I need to catch up.

This is Kyle's preschool picture. I thought it was cute for a school picture! It is a scan so it pretty dark.
Thanks to dinosaur week at school, Kyle will finally play with this toy. Gran and Pop Pop bought it for him a couple of years ago and he has been terrified of it since then. Now it is one of his favorite toys!
Kyle was entered into a drawing at his dentist office for having no cavities. He won! He received two tickets to the Mavericks vs Kings game and 2 parking passes! He had a blast! His favorite part about the game....the Chili's blimp!
His second favorite part was the cotton candy!
He loved his foam finger so much, he even took it to bed with him (along with every stuffed animal he owns)!
We also got a little bit of snow. Here he is attempting a snow angel.
For St. Patrick's Day he had to make a leprechaun trap.
The kids set there traps up to see if they could catch a leprechaun. Kyle's is on the far left side in the front.
The kids had to wear "special glasses" to see the leprechauns. Unfortunately, no one caught a leprechaun since so they are so fast but they did leave behind lots of gold!
I just realized that I do not have a single picture of Kaden for this post! He is way too busy to sit still for a picture.

Kyle's 1st Swimming Lessons

Kyle started swimming lessons today. Going by the looks of the other kids in his beginners class we are starting this a little late. Poor Kyle! He is my little guinea pig. I will be sure to start Kaden at 3 years old instead of 4.

At the beginning of class they "crawled" the entire length of the pool. Now sure why. I guess they were making sure the kids were strong enough to pull themselves up.
Swimming! (Well if you count someone holding your hands in position and another person helping you kick your feet!)

Kyle's Valentine's Party

Kyle's class had a Friendship Party on Valentine's Day. More blurry pictures thanks to me not noticing the camera was on the wrong setting!

Walking around in a circle to a song that I can't remember.
Marching around in a circle to yet another song that I can't remember. Snack time with heart shaped cookies and juice.
Card exchange!

Kyle and Chelsea

I walked into the living room and found Kyle and Chelsea like this....

Chelsea must be pretty special to Kyle. Kaden is not even allowed to look at Kyle's beloved "cool blanket" much less cover up with it.

Playing Outside!

Last weekend the weather was nice enough to play outside. This was really the first time Kaden has gotten to enjoy the backyard. It has been cold weather ever since he learned to walk. He loved it! All of the pictures of him are pretty blurry because he would not stand still long enough to get his picture taken.

Trying out the slide for the first time.
He loved walking around on the grass!
Kyle found a dandelion to make a wish on.
Cheeseball...

Outdoor Learning Center Fieldtrip

Kyle's class visited the Plano ISD Outdoor Learning Center a few weeks ago. The highlight of the trip for Kyle was his 1st bus ride. It was only about a 5 minute trip but he loved every second of it.

Getting on the bus for the 1st time
A yucky frog!
Ralph "The Kissing Fish" An aligator! Kyle and a cayman.
Kyle and one of his favorite girls Marilynn.
We also got to see a bobcat, monkey, pot bellied pig and lots of gross stuff like snakes and bugs. They even had a tank full of roaches! YUCK!

Christmas Morning

The annual matching pajama picture did not turn out so well this year. Kaden usually wakes up at 9:00 but his big brother made him get up at 8:00 on Christmas morning. He was a little upset.

Santa came to Kyle & Kaden's house!
Kyle rounding the corner to see what Santa brought. Checking out the loot.
Checking out his "blue kitchen"!
Trying out Kaden's Mickey Mouse Clubhouse plane.
Kaden finally decided to make an appearance.
Checking out the kitchen.
The only shot I got of them together opening presents.
Kaden playing with his plane.
Watching his new train crash into Kyle's laptop.
We spent the afternoon at Gran and Pop Pop's house. We were having so much fun that I did not take a single picture. Hopefully someone else did. :) Kyle and Kaden got a TON of toys there too. I think they could open up their own toy store now.

'Twas the night before Christmas....

We got home from Gran and Pop Pop's house way past Kaden's bedtime. He was tired so we put him to bed before we started out Christmas Eve routine. Here he is all ready for bed.

Kyle set out cookies and milk for Santa.
When we visited Santa a few weeks ago, Santa told Kyle that the reindeer would love some carrots. We usually put out "reindeer food" but Kyle remembered Santa's request and insisted that we do carrots this year. Kyle hung the special Santa key on the door knob so that Santa could come in since we don't have a chimney.
We read Polar Express then Kyle was ready for bed.

Christmas Eve at Gran and Pop Pop's House

We had our family Christmas Eve party at Gran and Pop Pop's new house this year. The kids had a lot of fun playing together. Kaden was even in a good mood which means Mommy & Daddy had fun too!

Kyle, Donnie & Scooter playing with the train set.
Kaden found his favorite kitchen in the toy closet so he just played in the closet for a while.
Kyle making sure Donnie sounds well.
Just a cute shot of Kaden.
Kyle opening presents. Kaden was grumpy for present time so I did not get any pictures of him opening presents.

Preschool Holiday Skate Party

Today was Kyle's preschool holiday party at the skating rink. This was Kyle's first time to skate so I was not sure how it was going to go. He did great! It really helped that his skates were tightened so much that the wheels hardly turned. He was doing more of a skate walk but he had a lot of fun.

Here he is posing in his skates
And skating/walking
Taking a spin around the rink with his teacher. We had the entire place reserved for our party so the adults were allowed to go on the floor without skates! He did crash a few times. Since I am such a nice mom I decided to take his picture instead of helping him get back up.
They had popcorn and lemonade for a snack.
And the group shot...
